Numbing Options for Your Treatment

Your comfort matters. Depending on your treatment and sensitivity level, you may choose from the following options:

1. Mild Topical Numbing (Over-the-Counter)
Available for purchase online or at your local pharmacy. Apply a generous layer to the treatment area 45 minutes prior to your appointment time. Please arrive with the numbing cream on and the area covered as directed.

2. Prescription Strength Topical Numbing Cream
For enhanced comfort, a prescription-strength topical anesthetic will be provided. This is self-applied prior to your laser or micro needling appointment according to the instructions given.

3. In-Office Numbing Application | 30 min $100. BOOK ONLINE
You may schedule a dedicated numbing application appointment prior to your laser or microneedling treatment. This allows appropriate time for the topical anesthetic to take full effect before your procedure begins.

How to Prepare for Your NOUVADerm Appointment

1–2 Weeks Before Treatment

• Avoid excessive sun exposure and tanning

• Discontinue retinoids, exfoliating acids, and aggressive peels (unless directed otherwise)

• Inform your provider of any recent procedures, skin conditions, or medication changes

48 Hours Before Treatment

• Avoid alcohol and intense workouts

• Stay well hydrated

Day of Your Appointment

• Arrive with clean skin or scalp—no makeup, heavy creams, or styling products

• Apply topical numbing as instructed or Schedule a Numbing appointment prior to your laser treatment.

• Wear comfortable clothing and avoid tight collars if treating the neck or scalp

Post-Care & Recovery

Immediately After

• Mild redness, warmth, and a sunburn-like sensation are normal

• Skin or scalp may feel tight or dry

First 24–72 Hours

• Avoid hot showers, saunas, and intense sweating

• Use only gentle cleansers and approved post-care products

• Avoid makeup on treated facial areas for at least 24 hours

• Do not pick or exfoliate flaking skin

Ongoing Care

• Apply broad-spectrum SPF daily

• Keep skin well moisturized
