BioTe® Pellet Therapy

BioTe® is a well-established form of bHRT that uses tiny, custom-compounded pellets placed just beneath the skin. These pellets release consistent hormone levels over time, helping to reduce the peaks and valleys that can occur with some other delivery methods.

THE PROCESS

STEP ONE : BLOODWORK 

In order to determine if you are a candidate for bioidentical hormone replacement, we need laboratory information and your intake forms.  We will evaluate your information prior to your consultation to determine what mode of hormone therapy or if the Biote Method of hormone replacement therapy can help you live a healthier life. PLEASE NOTE: It takes 10-14 days for lab results to be completed.

OPTIONS FOR BLOODWORK:

1. Make a BLOOD DRAW ONLY appointment at Sage with Dr. Amanda. This appointment is best done in the morning hours and YOU MUST BE FASTED. If you take Thyroid Medications you should take that in the morning on an empty stomach and then schedule blood draw 4-5 hours after taking meds.

2. Previous labs done within 3 months are acceptable. If you are missing any lab tests from the list below, schedule a BLOOD DRAW ONLY appointment for Dr Amanda to run any missing labs. Please send lab reports to medical@sagehealingcollective.com or fax 331.214.8087.

3. You can get labs done by your primary doctor. If your primary doctor does not run all labs listed below, schedule a BLOOD DRAW ONLY appointment for Dr Amanda to run any missing labs.

4. If you would like to use your health insurance for lab work, email Dr Amanda at medical@sagehealingcollective.com for a script to take to a local draw center. Please note the cost of labs done at a draw center maybe 3-4x greater than the cash prices listed at Sage Healing Collective.

The cost of labs drawn at Sage Healing Collective is required at the time of service, however you can request a superbill to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement directly back to. you.

STEP TWO | INITIAL CONSULT

Review labs and intake forms with your practitioner to determine if bHRT is an appropriate therapy for you and to set expectations for long-term success. $150 BOOK ONLINE

Step Three | Pellet Insertion or Prescription Therapy

Following your consultation and lab review, you and your practitioner will choose the hormone therapy option that best supports your needs.

Option 1: Prescription bHRT

If you choose prescription-based bioidentical hormone therapy, your practitioner will:

• Send prescriptions to your pharmacy of choice, or

• Order through the practitioner’s preferred compounding pharmacy

Prescription costs are handled directly through the pharmacy and are not included in consultation fees.

Option 2: Pellet Insertion at Initial Appointment

If you choose to proceed with pellet insertion at your initial visit, you will receive a $75 savings when combining your consultation and pellet placement.

Consult + Pellet Pricing:

• Female: $475

• Male: $825

After your initial treatment, you will continue with ongoing care and follow-up based on your personalized plan.

Option 3: Ongoing Pellet Therapy (Separate from Initial Consult)

• Female Pellet Insertion: $400 BOOK ONLINE

• Male Pellet Insertion: $750 BOOK ONLINE

STEP FOUR | Complimentary Check-in

You will receive a check-in phone call from Dr Amanda to evaluated your status after pellet insertion or prescription implementation. At this time she may recommend follow up blood work for female. Male blood work is required.

STEP FIVE | ON-GOING CARE*

For Prescription bHRT patients - Lifestyle Medicine check-in appointments are required every 2-6 months depending on re-order requirements by the pharmacy. Check-ins can be done in-person or telemedicine. You practitioner will guide you on check-in instructions.

For Pelleting bHRT patients:

FEMALE Re-pelleting is done every 3-4 months.

MALE Re-pelleting is done every 4-6 months.

*Additinal lab testing may be required to continue bHRT care.
